Bench Bolt is an independent editorial desk publishing how-to columns, tool teardowns, market notes and plain-language explainers for solo makers and repairers working across South Africa. Everything here is general information. It is not a substitute for your own judgement at your own bench, and it is not professional, legal or financial advice.
When you send a workshop story or tip, you confirm that the account is your own and that you have the right to share it. The editors may edit for length, clarity and house style. Publication is not guaranteed, and sending material does not create any obligation on the desk to publish, pay or reply.
Only send material you are comfortable seeing in print. If you can supply bench or tool photos when asked, say so in your message; that is a preference, not a commitment on either side.
This site has no accounts, logins, comments, orders, payments or subscriptions. The only form is the contact form, which leads to a thanks page confirming that the submission was received by the handler. Nothing is sold here and nothing is charged for reading.
The desk takes care with what it publishes, but methods that work on one bench may not work on yours. You are responsible for your own tools, materials, safety and paperwork. The desk is not liable for loss, damage or costs arising from how you use the information on this site.
These terms may be updated as the desk changes. The current version always applies to your use of the site, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
